Educational Background

Jade completed an accredited Bachelor of Science degree in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, and a minimum of 900 hours of supervised practice before passing a national exam. Your First Visit
Depending on your reason for seeing Jade, you should expect your initial visit to take about 45-60 minutes, with subsequent follow-up visits taking about 15-30 minutes. As an essential part of the team, Jade works closely with the physicians and nurse practitioners in discussing the best course of nutrition care for each patient. She reviews relevant lab work, current medications and supplements, and discusses ways to improve these parameters through diet and lifestyle changes.
If you have lab work done outside of our office, you should bring a copy of your most recent labs to your visit. It is also helpful if you bring a 2-week food and activity log for review.
After learning about your health and diet history, eating and exercise habits, and any special considerations for your specific situation, Jade formulates a nutrition plan that works in conjunction with your health goals and lifestyle. For some patients, this may include help in managing chronic diseases or guidance navigating food allergies, sensitivities, weight gain, self-image, and overall nutritional understanding.
Jade’s Philosophy
Jade truly believes in the philosophy that there is no “one size fits all” approach to nutrition. Different bodies respond to different things. She will work with you to devise a plan that is as individualized as you are.
Referrals and Insurance
Once you are an established patient of the practice, you do not need a referral to see our registered dietitian. If your insurance provider requires one, however, it is not a problem to provide one.
Jade is currently in-network with all but one of the insurance providers that we accept at the practice. (She will be in-network with all providers within the next few months.)
Note that her visits are billed separately.
