Our Nurse Practitioner

Colleen Metzler is a nationally certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Women’s Health Specialists of Dallas.

After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University in 2010, she worked as a registered nurse at Dallas’s Parkland Hospital in the Obstetric and Gynecologic Emergency Room.  After completing her MSN, Family Nurse Practitioner, Colleen was transferred to work at Parkland’s Maple Plaza Women’s Center as a provider, where her experience further fueled her passion for obstetrics and assisting women of all backgrounds.

Colleen began working in the Margot Perot building at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas in 2017 where she continues to pursue her passion for promoting health and wellness to women across Dallas.  Colleen understands the relationship between the patient and her obstetrician-gynecologist (Ob-Gyn) is an intimate and extremely important one.  Prior to working as part of Women’s Health Specialists of Dallas’s interdisciplinary team, both of her beautiful children were delivered at Presbyterian Dallas. Her personal relationship with the hospital and her overall love of women’s health, allows Colleen to provide every patient she works with with the highest level of care.

As a Dallas native and active member of the Junior League of Dallas, Colleen enjoys giving back to her community.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, speaking Spanish, and playing tennis.
