Dr. Kavitha Blewett enjoys providing compassionate women’s healthcare, which is tailored to each individual patient’s needs. She has enjoyed caring for patients with WHS Dallas for over 15 years and helping their families grow. Her patients especially appreciate her caring bedside manner and willingness to explain diagnoses and procedures in easy-to-understand language. She is interested in all areas of Obstetrics and Gynecology from uncomplicated pregnancy to high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive robotic gynecologic surgery, to family planning. Dr. Blewett believes in a holistic approach to preventative healthcare and how this changes in a woman over the decades.

Dr. Blewett is originally from New York but moved to Plano, Texas at a young age, where her family still resides. She later returned to New York and attended college and medical school in upstate New York. While there, Dr. Blewett completed an accelerated 7-year program that combined college and medical school and included a double major in Spanish. Dr. Blewett moved back to Dallas and completed her OB/GYN residency at the Parkland Memorial Hospital/University of Texas Southwestern.

When Dr. Blewett isn’t in the office, she cherishes valuable time with her family and friends. She enjoys a very active lifestyle with her husband, Christopher, her two daughters, Asha and Anjali, and rescue dog, Betsy.
